... wedding details

... was being so busy concentrating with the 2 plates order recently :)

thinking of sharing some of the wedding details to boost up the day!

the idea of the badge was:
instead of giving a flower badge for our family, we made a metal badge with brown ribbon for our both family. They could keep that as remembrance for such a memorable moment of their son and daughter :)

... pamper ourselves with the color - Blue...

... trying to fall in love with the blue color tone.

B seldom use blue color for handcrafting projects. A little breakthrough of mine then :)
With this beautiful napkins graphic, I feel like I could explore more and more possibilities for the adaptation.

Not much to talk about this little box, just enjoy the relaxing moment with your favourite tea and your favourite cookies ...

Have a super nice day!

... Happy Chinese New Year ! Decorative plate

... decoupage on a plate, easy and beautiful!

1. trim out the image from the napkin that you selected
2. clean the entire plate with alcohol
3. mark carefully on plate (top) as you are going to stick from the bottom side of the plate
4. start to set the napkin pieces with podge , wait until completely dried up
5. pad the color (acrylic) with a sponge all around the plate, but not on the graphic
6. wait until completely dried up, apply 1-2 layers of hard varnish.
7. Done!

*Remarks 1: try to clean the glue that is out of the graphic area by alcohol with a cotton stick
**Remarks 2: apply hard varnish tenderly as if it's too strong, it might pull the glued napkins and the paints away.

Wishing you all a good health , good wealth, god blessing New Year !

Love
B

... invitation for beloved Bridesmaids & Groomsmen

... we were so lucky to have these lovely angels assisting us throughout the memorable day. They are all so special to us . They contributed a lot of time and energy. We got to make them feel special but not invisible in the wedding!

we got to make them special cause THEY ARE SPECIAL!
a box that contains:
1. our favorite brand - papemelroti 's calendar - save the date!
2. details and brief introduction of the day
3. arrangement of dresses, meetings ...
4. a little badge

instead of flowers, we would like to give them a little badge to remind what's their position and as a little remembrance after the wedding.

here are some of the little pedants

... the 15 minutes Apron

... the story was ...

i need an apron cause the paints in class damaged my favorite blouse last week  :'(
i got only 30 mins left before I go to attend my decoupage class
20 mins walking distance to $12 store
i do not want to destroy the wedding gift of Charles & Teresa  + Simon & Teresa -- while i love the length and cutting of their apron so much

thus ...  a simple apron is made in 15 minutes.

since it was really too rush, i did not take photos along the production.
hope that i can describe it in wordings for this time.

All you need is : 1) fabric 2) polyester tape 3) sewing machine 4) scissors

Fabric & tapes preparation:

1. simply fold your favorite in half, fold the fabric into half as well underneath.
2. trace out the shape of the apron with approx. 2 cm allowance around the edge. --- to speed up this process, directly cut out the apron shape with 2 cm seam allowance.
3. prepare tape in polyester materials, melt the end with a flame--- this will save the time of folding the end of the tape and sew .  ( 2 for neck, 2 for waist)

Sewing:

1. sew along the edge (with 1 cm distance) of the cut out fabric.
2. fold the seam allowance twice to the back so we don't have to do edging but still being able to give a nice finishing of the entire apron.
3. Attach the tape. Complete!

And since it's too rush, i didn't iron it. Please forgive me :)

I think I will be making a better quality and more details one, which of course will take more time for the production :)

... our 1st PMC sharing with Catholic Marriage Advisory Council

... we had our first contribution as voluntary instructor to The Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council after their useful and intensive trainings.

Yesterday we did our couples sharing. It was smooth, K and I share most of the discussed topic within time. We also received positive feedback from couples with our sharing.

Thank you Lord using us as your tools to share Love.

The Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council - founded in 1965, established in 1967 , provides wide variation of programs for couples who are married or preparing themselves to a marriage. From time to time, they also provide a series of quality seminar for parents, emotion control, and some fun activities.

Mr.K was the one who suggested enrolling for their program a year before our wedding. It's compulsory for Catholics to join related training who wanted host their wedding in authorized catholic church with Priest.

Throughout the FOCCUS consultation, Gabriel encouraged us to be part of the voluntary work of CMAC.  By luck ( god's planning) they were beckoning for Badge 9 voluntary couples. Somehow we were not married by that time Angel & Sherman interviewed us. They provided a series of fruitful training. Trust me, the training was really so so so so much helpful to our relationship. Accidentally, we went to a group which our classmates have longer marriage age, we learnt a lot from them. They are all so kind, K and I love them so much! They always show so much support on to us. Gifted. Thank you for letting us being part of Badge 9 while our length of marriage are not qualified.

Angel, Agnes, Cherrie, Gabriel, Paul, Sherman - from CMAC, they gave us a lot of professional training , directions and supports along the way that attendees might not be able to notice about that . But they still contribute their best to all couples.

" Wedding is a day , Marriage is a lifetime" -- you can despite the decoration details, the schedule of the wedding, but not the meaning and the bonding of "marriage"
